Horse-Drawn Plow

The plow is an agricultural tool used by farmers to prepare the soil for planting. The horse-drawn plow consistes of two components: a frame with handles, and the plow itself. The frame is attached to the horse, which pulls the plow, made up of one or more blades which cut into and turn over the soil as they move. It breaks up the soil, allowing seeds to be planted and roots to grow properly.

Guines Edict

The horse- (or mule or donkey)-drawn plow was a forbidden technology. Magic is capable of avoiding both this step of farming, and the entire crop growing process in general. Even though the technology was simple, it was forbidden, with the expectation that farmers would either use magic, or be restricted to the ground they could cover with simpler hand-held and manual tools.
