NOTE: This doesn't actually take place on Earth. But there isn't any other stories in this setting and I wanted to share it, so here you go!
The story explores the birth of humanity, as witnessed by angels Michael and Uriel. Charged by God to be guardians of Adam and Eve, Michael is captivated by the children’s mortality, their ability to change, and the fleeting nature of time they represent. As the angels wrestle with the profound mystery of human life, Lucifer receives a divine command that tests his loyalty and understanding. Through their interactions, the narrative delves into themes of creation, the passage of time, and the cost of wisdom. The story weaves a poignant tale of love, duty, and the tension between divine will and free will.
