While the styles of music and methods of producing music have changed over time, the ability for music to affect even the coldest-hearted person is well known.

Guines Edict

While music in general was allowed under the Guines Edict, it prevented several types of music from being produced, but both before the edict itself and after the edict fell and balanced technology was introduced, music tied closely to magic for many people. Eventually, magic done through music was an alternative framework comparable to Lexology.
